China Methionine: Prices fall further amid weak sales (week ended Mat 6, 2023)

Methionine market weakened further with demand slack and supply abundant.

Transacted price of locally produced dl-methionine in China slid to the range of RMB15-17.70/kg whereas those of imported products fell to RMB17.80-18/kg.

Methionine hydroxy analogue prices dipped in the range of RMB12.30-14.80/kg.

Export prices of dl-methionine fell to US$2.18/kg.

Sales of methionine are set to remain soft with poultry inventories limited.
