China Calcium Phosphate: Prices stable to lower (week ended Mar 6, 2023)

Slow poultry feed demand curtailed the sales of calcium phosphate. Producers held prices of calcium phosphate low in a bid to stimulate sales.
Export prices of high-grade calcium phosphate were stable at US$0.45/kg while prices of second-tier products stayed at US$0.44/kg. Monocalcium phosphate export prices remained at US$0.62/kg.
Locally, prices of higher-grade calcium phosphate weakened to the range of RMB3.04-3.15/kg. Lower grade products prices decreased to RMB2.97/kg.
Meanwhile, monocalcium phosphate transact prices softened to RMB4.21/kg.
Weak sales of poultry feed will put a lid on calcium phosphate market. Calcium phosphate producers will attempt to hold prices firm in efforts to sustain profit margins.
