China methionine prices stabilise as producers stand firm
Prices of methionine were unchanged during the week ending March 7.
Demand for methionine from Europe strengthened lately as buyers began placing orders for the second quarter. This helped methionine producers and distributors to stand firm even though sales remained poor in China due to the rampant bird flu epidemic.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine remained stable around RMB23.50kg.
