Weak poultry market curtails China methionine demand
Prices of methionine moved lower during the week ending March 5.
Sales of methionine remained weak as feed producers held back purchases while the poultry market performed poorly.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine fell to the range of RMB19.80-20.50/kg, lower by RMB0.20-0.70/kg.
Poultry feed producers will stay prudent as egg prices have tumbled of late while broiler markets remain weak.
