China lysine prices dip further, down 54% since December

Lysine prices continued to fall during the week ending February 28.

Lysine prices fell further, albeit at a slower pace, as producers competed to clear stocks. However, with hog population flat and feed producers staying prudent, sales of lysine remained limited.

Plummeting 54% since December lysine prices were less than 10% away from 2013’s historic lows.

Price quotes of 70-percent lysine fell to RMB4.50-5/kg.
