Demand for whey remained sluggish as piglet feed producers withheld procurements. With supplies in excess, traders slashed prices of high-protein whey products in efforts to stimulate sales. During January, China's whey imports totalled 43,980 tonnes, of which about 15,000 tonnes were feed-grade products.
