Sales of poultry feed was sluggish as the market continued to be plagued by the outbreak of bird flu, which is apparently much more severe than previous years judging from the high infection and death rates of human,. Feed millers cut purchases of calcium phosphate to minimise risks while the outlook of the poultry market remained uncertain.
Calcium phosphate prices are expected to stay soft even as producers attempt to stand firm.
