Feed producers were not keen to stock vitamin A inventories, placing minimal orders only when required. Producers were compelled to cut prices in a bid to clear piling inventories.
With the poultry sector underperforming due to the threat of the bird flu outbreak, and the hog population showing no signs of recovering, low animal feed production will hamper the sales of vitamin A.
