Jamesway hosts Platinum Brooding® Training Course in February

Jamesway has just concluded the Platinum Brooding® Course which saw the patronage of Dr. Stew Ritchie and his team of industry experts.
The course has been profoundly important to brood managers since its inception in 2001.
Guest lecturers for the February event included Dr. Ken Bafundo from Phibro Animal Health Corp., Aviagen North America's Dr. Scott Gillingham and Dr. Marina Brash from the Animal Health Laboratory, University of Guelph.
During the one-day course, participants are led through the latest industry developments including thorough, accurate and precise measurements associated with critical factors including feed, light, litter, air, water, space, security and sanitation.
Sponsored by Cargill Value Added Protein and the Chicken Farmers of Ontario, the stand-alone course was presented in a 'hands on' environment to enhance the learning process.
The programme has also been mandated as a new grower entry requirement by British Columbia's Chicken Marketing Board and is supported by the Chicken Farmers of Ontario. In addition, it is a part of numerous university and college curriculums including the University of Georgia.
"…sponsoring the Platinum Brooding® course for so many of the broiler growers we are privileged to work with has been a tremendous experience," said Dave Johnson from Cargill Value Added Protein. "The quality and depth of information presented to and shared by the group was outstanding. We extend our gratitude to the Jamesway team for all of their hard work to prepare their facility for both the classroom and hands-on components of the course."
Jamesway's involvement with the programme is part of its ongoing commitment to nurture the best knowledge and practices in the industry.
