Tight supply underpins China methionine prices
Prices of methionine were unchanged during the week ending February 9.
Price quotes for locally produced methionine stayed flat at RMB31/kg.
Pre-festive demand waned as most buyers have stocked ample inventories to last during the Chinese New Year holidays. However, prices remained firm while methionine availability was relatively tight.
