Alltech to address pig and poultry meetings in Thailand

Alltech specialists are to address audiences at the approaching Pig Focus Asia and Poultry Focus Asia, Bangkok, Thailand (Feb 20-22, 2006).


Dr Darryl D'Souza, Alltech Asia-Pacific's Regional Pig Technical Manager, will present at the pig session and discuss 'Recovering Lost Opportunities in Pig Production - Sow Productivity.'


Max Purser, Product Champion Allzyme® SSF, will present at the poultry session and discuss the 'Possibilities to reduce feed cost by 25 percent without loss in performance.'


Dr D'Souza has gained extensive experience in the industry and was previously with the Agriculture Department of Western Australia, where his area of specialty was meat science. He is a past winner of the Australasian Pig Science Association's Ted Battenham Award for the Top Young Researcher of the Year, and has a high profile within the Australian pig industry. D'Souza is currently involved in the continued success of Alltech's unique Premier Pig Program®, identifying areas for research in the pig industry and working closely to deliver customised technical support and solutions to key customers in the Asia-Pacific. D'Souza is based at Alltech's office in Melbourne, Australia, and travels extensively throughout the region.


Purser graduated with a degree in Agricultural Science from University College Dublin, and a Masters in Business Administration from Cambridge University, United Kingdom. He has extensive experience within the Asia-Pacific, European and Latin American markets and is the product champion for Allzyme® SSF, Alltech's natural enzyme complex. Purser is also responsible for putting together training programmes for the Asia-Pacific region. He is based in Ireland and travels extensively throughout the Asia-Pacific.
