Nukamel makes debut at IPPE
Belgian-Dutch Nukamel participated for the first time at International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE), held January 27-29.
The company has a strong foothold in Latin America in terms of feed solutions for calves.
Also, changing demographics are at the base of a positive trend in poultry consumption in Latin America, which is foreseen to continue beyond 2015.
Nukamel positions itself as a partner with Latin American poultry producers to meet the growing demand for poultry products such as chicken parts and sausages. Poultry producers strive at reducing the feed costs per broiler or laying hen and constantly look at new ways to render the entire production cycle more efficient.
Gerardo Alamos from Nutrimel, the company's representative in Chile, said of IPPE, "It was a great plan to be here, to be actively involved in this show and meet new contacts. I've worked for more than 30 years together with Jan Druyts from Nukamel, on calf milk replacers and dairy ingredients for the pig sector. Now it is time to put the same efforts in the product Volamel Extra."
John Krammerer from Sunrise International, Nukamel's representative in Brazil, said, "We have met key players and stakeholders of the Brazilian market."
Participation at IPPE is a key part in Nukamel's strategy to promote the nutritional emulsifier Volamel Extra in Latin America.
The emulsifier aids young animals, such as broilers till six weeks of age, in digesting fats and oils of varying quality. This allows for more efficient utilisation of fat present in the feed formulation. Ultimately, improved fat digestion leads to a reduction in fat and protein excretion in the faeces of the bird, increased feed efficiency and less health problems resulting from poor litter condition.
Nukamel previously also participated at EuroTier 2014 and will be at the DairyTech Pavilion in VIV Asia 2015 held in Bangkok.
