Chinese buyers limit lysine purchase while livestock market underperforms

Lysine prices were stable to lower during the week ending February 3.

Lysine prices remained flat in most parts of China as feed millers withheld buying in anticipation of a weak market after Chinese New Year.

Price quotes of 65-percent lysine and 70-percent lysine were at RMB5/kg and RMB5.40-5.60/kg respectively.

As soymeal prices continue to search for a bottom while livestock market disappoints feed millers, demand for lysine will be slow.
