Ayurvet to assist Fiji in animal health care

India's Ayurvet Limited has agreed to assist Fiji in providing training and technology advice with regard to animal healthcare.

This move follows a visit by a Fijian delegation to India, which highlighted the need for assistance in animal health care.

The agreement between Ayurvet and the Fijian government will be officiated by a Memorandum of Understanding which will be facilitated by the Fiji High Commission Office in New Delhi, India's Ministry of External Affairs, the Indian High Commission in Fiji and the Ministry of Agriculture in both countries.

The Minister for Agriculture, Inia Seruiratu, led the Fijian delegation and met senior key officials from both the Indian government and the private sector.

He raised the need for Fiji to access the company's services and technology and to learn from their model and best practices.
