Lysine producers stand firm despite light demand in China
Lysine prices were unchanged during the week ending February 2.
Several producers continued to halt operation while others limited output, holding lysine supplies tight in China. Hence, even though demand weakened lately as feed millers wound down production in preparation for the Chinese New Year celebration, prices of lysine stayed unchanged.
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were unchanged in the range of RMB8.50-9.50/kg.
