Emmi appoints chief marketing officer
Emmi Group has appointed Thomas Morf as the company's chief marketing officer who will also be a part of Group Management, effective mid-June 2017.
Morf will make a considerable contribution to strengthening Emmi's brands and international growth, the company says. Robin Barraclough, former chief marketing officer for the Emmi Group, assumed responsibility for business division (Europe) on January 1.
Morf is a veteran specialist with more than 16 years of experience in leading marketing and management positions in the consumer goods industry, the majority of which is in dairy at Danone. His career began in 2000 at Procter & Gamble where he stayed for seven years. He is an international marketing expert and currently serves as managing director for Mayo Dairy, one of Danone's business units in South Africa. Since 2007, he has worked in Munich, Paris and Johannesburg, in roles that include global marketing director (Innovations) at Danone's headquarters in France and marketing director for Southern Africa.
The 42-year-old Morf studied economics, with a focus on international management, at the University of St. Gallen.
