Chinese lysine producers cut prices to attract buyers
Lysine prices slid further during the week ending January 28.
Sales of lysine slowed as feed producers prepared for the upcoming Chinese New Year holidays. Buyers that we making purchases limited orders in view of poor hog feed demand in the period after the festive holidays. Amid mounting inventory pressure, lysine producers slashed prices further to entice buyers.
Price quotes of 70-percent lysine fell to RMB4.90-5/kg.
