Diamond V looks to advance poultry food safety at IPPE

Diamond V would be offering pioneering immune support technology and expertise for pre-harvest food safety for poultry producers and food companies at the International Production & Processing Expo, January 30 to February 1, in Atlanta, Georgia.
 

On the poultry farm, conventional approaches to controlling foodborne pathogenic bacteria such as Salmonella, Campylobacter, and E. coli include increased biosecurity, better hygiene, adjustments in management and husbandry, and improved feed microbial security. However, future improvements in pathogen risk control require new tools at the farm level - non-antibiotic solutions - to assure greater food safety, says Diamond V.
 

When poultry producers and food companies can reduce foodborne pathogens in the gastro-intestinal tracts of chickens and turkeys, then they can help reduce the risk of these pathogens in food processing and food products. Today, non-antibiotic solutions based on immune support technology are helping to produce safe, sustainable, and affordable poultry meat and eggs around the world.
 
Preceding IPPE at the same venue, the International Poultry Scientific Forum (IPSF), January 29-30, presents research on poultry health and performance.
