Lesaffre Feed Additives renamed PHILEO
Lesaffre's animal care business unit officially took the name of PHILEO from January 27, 2015.
This new name and branding is also accompanied by a new website, www.phileo-lesaffre.com All of the new changes were unveiled on the same day at the 2015 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta.
Driven by a pioneering business dynamic, Lesaffre animal care business unit decided to adopt a new corporate identity. Derived from the Greek verb "to love", the name PHILEO conjures up notions of care, respect and protection.
According to PHILEO, the spiral-shaped logo illustrates new momentum and a forward-looking attitude.
The company also introduced a new philosophy, "Raising life", and said it applies its philosophy on a daily basis – its innovative nutritional solutions help enhance animal health and performance.
With a world population of nine billion expected in 2050, the quality of animal feed will therefore be essential to provide necessary nutritional resources for everyone.
Finding new solutions to meet the needs of future generations is a challenge that the company will embrace, as it strives to enhance the lives of animals in order to better enhance the lives of people.
PHILEO said it has a dedicated R&D division. Its engineers, nutritionists and veterinarians work in tight collaboration with Lesaffre's own R&D department as well as universities and institutes around the world.
The teams' expertise includes fundamental in vitro research, development of industrial processes, and validation through scientific animal studies in research institutes and farming. According to the company, expertise in these three areas contributes to the creation of groundbreaking solutions, which respond to both current and future needs for the ruminant, pig, poultry and aquaculture industries, from traditional to intensive farming.
