Dwindling feed output decimates China methionine sales
Prices of methionine stayed soft during the week ending January 17.
Sales of broiler remained weak due to the H7N9 bird flu scare. Several feed millers, who were preparing for the long hiatus during early February, cut output while demand was unimpressive.
For liquid methionine, price quotes were unchanged at RMB21-23/kg.
RMB1=US$0.1456 (Jan 18)
