China lysine producers slash prices amid poor demand
Lysine prices fell significantly during the week ending January 2.
Lysine sales were light during year's end, as most feed millers withheld buying after stocking ample supplies. One major producer slashed prices in a surprise move to attract buyers, prompting others to follow suit.
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine dipped to the range of RMB9-10.50/kg.
