Agrivida seeks swine producers to trial new product
December 9, 2019 Agrivida seeks swine producers to trial new product The largest North American family-owned pig producer, The Maschhoffs, will be one of the first to trial Agrivida's Grainzyme Phytase enzyme feed additive commercially. Agrivida is now seeking more commercial swine producers to trial their new product Grainzyme in their commercial operations. The product follows the company's poultry corn-based enzyme, which only requires two to four pounds (0.907 to 1.81 kilograms) of ground Grainzyme corn per tonne of feed. The benefits of Grainzyme for swine are the same as for poultry, which include better nutrition, feed conversion, and improved animal performance, plus a positive return on investment and more sustainable environmental footprint. Dr. Bradley Wolter, president and CEO of The Maschhoffs and adjunct professor at the University of Illinois, said the product's super dosing is a big advantage and they believe the product will be able deliver the enzyme to the hind gut. CEO of feed additives firm expects future growth for Russian feed additives market
November 7, 2019 CEO of feed additives firm expects future growth for Russian feed additives market The CEO of Russian company Biotrof, the first in the country to develop and sell feed additives, has said he believes that the animal products, feed, and feed additives markets in Russia will develop further in the coming years, All About Feed reports. In an interview with the news outlet, Biotrof's CEO Georgy Laptev said, however, he believes that the country needs to move faster in phasing out antibiotics from the production process. "While European countries already have years of experience in phasing out in-feed antibiotics, Russia is only at the beginning. Russian producers understand the need to reduce antibiotics and see the benefits of producing antibiotic free (which is also reflected in higher prices for their products), but are also afraid that it can possibly lead to increased use of medicinal antibiotics," Laptev said. Biotrof develops, produces and sells a wide range of feed additives and f
