LIVESTOCK HEALTH
Haemotrophic mycoplasma infections are found in a wide range of domestic and wild animals causing acute haemolytic anaemia or chronic anaemia with immune suppression. To counter this, two forms of autoimmune haemolytic anaemia (AIHA) have been described in this study.
MEAT OPERATION
Meat quality is closely related to the decrease in muscle pH post-mortem. We look closely on how variations in the extent of decrease in pH are also responsible for variations in meat quality, particularly in chicken meat.
