1. Use some Boolean tools like:

Including Words

AND: A comma (,) in your keyword search is equivalent to "all of the words" in Advanced Search. For example, "egg, chicken" searches for news stories with the words egg AND chicken in the headline.

OR: Using (|) to separate your keywords is equivalent to using "any of these words" in Advanced Search. For example, "egg | chicken" searches for news stories with the words egg OR chicken in the headline.

Excluding Words

Using the minus sign (-) is equivalent to "none of these words" in Advanced Search. For example, "egg, -chicken?quot; searches news on eggs only. All news with “chicken” in the headline will be excluded.

Exact Phrase

In Advanced Search, enter your keyword into "exact phrase". Please note that when using this function, words must be entered as is. For example, if you search for "chicken eggs", stories with the headline "eggs and chicken" or "eggs chicken" will not appear.

2. Our keyword search function is NOT case-sensitive.

3. Narrow your search results by choosing your keywords carefully e.g.,

• try "bird flu" instead of "animal diseases"
  
• "US, corn" instead of "world, agriculture"

4. Specifying helps narrow your search. So instead of typing "meat", using "beef" or "chicken" would achieve more accurate results.
