Vietnam sees value drop in animal feed import in 2017
Vietnam spent 7.3% lesser on the importing of animal feeds and materials for feed production during January-November 2017, compared to the same period in 2016, China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said.
The percentage amounted to over US$2.9 billion spent, according to a Xinhua report. Vietnam's largest feed import market is Argentina, followed by the US and China as well as Canada, India and Indonesia.
Vietnam brought close to 4.4 million tonnes of wheat into the country, which were worth US$934 million, between January and November this year. Both figures marked year-on-year drops of 2.4% and 1.5%, respectively.
