Market analysis

Prices of lysine surged prominently by 7.6% as demand was robust while buyers continued to accumulate stocks. Several feed producers placed orders for January delivery in preparation for the pre-Chinese New Year market. With inventories diminishing, producers lifted prices, particularly after corn market showed signs of strengthening.

Over the past two weeks, lysine prices have climbed by almost 10%.

In Europe, price quotes for Q4 deliveries stayed stable in the range of EUR1.29-1.35/kg.

Market forecast

Lysine prices are projected to strengthen further as pollution controls hamper production. Feed producers will continue to make purchases in the next couple of weeks, lending support to producers' price hikes
