Cheese prices soar at the CME


Philadelphia, PA– Cheese. Cheese. Cheese. Tha's what our conversations were about this week. On Mon, blocks added one-quarter of a cent and hit $2.00/lb for the first time in nearly five years. Then on Tue, block prices began to take off and were up 5.25 cents on that day. Prices increased by 4.0 cents on Wed, 5.25 cents on Thu, and 6.0 cents today for a total of 20.75 cents during the week. Barrels weren't much different and ended the week up 17.75 cents.
