The EU will introduce a number of programmes in order to boost meat exports to Vietnam.
Speaking at a promotion program named "Tradition, Quality and European Taste" organized in Ho Chi Minh City on September 12 to introduce EU's pork and beef, Agniezka Rózánka, director of Union of Producers and Employers of Meat Industry's (UPEMI) International projects said that the UPEMI will meet Vietnamese importers as well as assist them in improving meat quality and foodstuff safety.
The UPEMI will also connect EU's firms with Vietnamese enterprises in animal husbandry for exchange of information and farming technologies, she noted.
In the first quarter of this year, Poland, a member of EU, exported 25,000 tonnes of meat to Vietnam, she added.
