Market analysis

Demand for lysine remained weak in China. With supplies abundant, producers of lysine were inclined to lower prices in efforts to close deals. However, at currently historic lows, price falls were limited.

In Europe, price quotes were unchanged at EUR1.20/kg.

Market forecast

Lysine market is poised to stay weak with supply exceeding demand. Prices are expected to consolidate lower but sharp declines are unlikely.
