Kemin AgriFoods announces a new vice president of sales in Asia
 

 

Hai Meng Tan, Ph. D., has been appointed vice president of sales for Kemin Industries' AgriFoods Asia division.

 

Hai Meng comes to this position after serving as vice president of research and development at Kemin Asia for the past eleven years. There he was responsible for developing new and innovative products. He was also responsible for quality assurance, regulatory and intellectual property for the company.

 

As the Vice President of Sales, Hai Meng is responsible for leading Kemin's client interface including sales management, sales project execution, and country-level strategic planning. He leads a team of technical sales managers stationed throughout the Asia Pacific area.

 

Hai Meng has a PhD in microbiology from King's College, London. Prior to joining Kemin, he taught for 10 years as a professor of microbiology at the National University of Singapore. He has published more than 100 scientific and conference papers, and is currently serving as a member of the Executive Board of the Singapore Science Center and the Advisory Committee of the Food Science program at Nanyang Polytechnic. Most recently, Hai Meng was awarded the Executive of the Year Award at the 2010 worldwide Kemin Executives meeting. 
 


 
Delacon strengthens team in Asia
 

 

Delacon Phytogenic Feed Additives has strengthened its Asian-Pacific team with the appointment of Gina Medina as Regional Technical Manager and Kevin Wang as General Manager of Delacon China, effective July 1st. 

 

 "The high potential of Phytogenics and the need for a closer representation of the company's activities, especially in China, were the main reasons for enlarging our team in Asia-Pacific" says Sze Eng Kian, D.V.M, head of Delacon's regional office in Malaysia.

 

"Our recruitment strategy in Asia-Pacific reflects the steep business development that Delacon has achieved in the region during the last two years," adds Stéphane Jolain, sales and marketing director of Delacon.

 

Gina Medina, Regional Technical Manager, is responsible for technical services for Delacon distributors and customers in Asia-Pacific.  Medina is an animal nutritionist with over 10 years hands-on experience in the animal feed industry, doing sales and technical services in key markets in Asia and other regions globally. 

 

Kevin Wang, General Manager of Delacon China, graduated in veterinary health inspection of Anhui Technology University of China in 1994 and got an MBA at Canada's Royal Roads University in 2004.
