In four days, on August 20, Aqua Nor will open in Trondheim, Norway. Aqua Nor has been an important international meeting place for the aquaculture industry, and it is today the world's largest aquaculture technology exhibition. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon will be present at the official opening of the Aqua Nor exhibition on Aug. 20.

August 20 – 23, 2019
Since 1979, Aqua Nor has been an important international meeting place for the aquaculture industry, and it is today the world's largest aquaculture technology exhibition. Its venue is the expanded Trondheim Spektrum. Part of the exhibition area is Skansen, near the centre of the city and in the harbor—about five minutes' walk from Trondheim Spektrum.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon will be present at the official opening of the Aqua Nor exhibition on Aug. 20. This is the 20th time that a member of the Norwegian royal family attends the opening of the exhibition.
Numerous seminars, mini-conferences, lectures, debates and presentations are held during this event, which has drawn about 20,000 visitors from up to 76 nations.
At the exhibition, where all the latest innovations of importance are presented to the industry,

26th Annual Practical Short Course on Aquaculture Feed Extrusion, Nutrition, & Feed Management

Organised by the Process Engineering Research & Development Center in cooperation with the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences, the course topics include aquaculture nutrition; ingredients & vitamins; material handling and grinding; drying and coating; floating, sinking and high fat; and processing and troubleshooting.
There will also be demonsrations on dry extruder; single screw extruder; twin screw extruder; expander; vacuum and surface coaters; and products analysis lab.
World Seafood Shanghai (14th Shanghai International Fisheries Seafood Exhibition; 14th Shanghai International Aquaculture Exhibition)

World Seafood Shanghai, meant to help importers and exporters reduce the supply and demand gap, has grown into a premium platform after 13 years of development, bringing together sellers and buyers in aquatic markets and helping foreign companies to expand in the Chinese market.
In 2018, World Seafood Shanghai gathered over 1,500 enterprises from more than 20 countries and regions including the US, South Korea, Australia, Argentina, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Denmark, Canada, Ecuador, Thailand, Oman, Pakistan, the Netherlands, Scotland, Indonesia, Vietnam, Venezuela, Mexico and Chile, besides China (including Taiwan Region).
World Seafood 2019 will be held in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre and will cover an exhibition area of 100,000 square metres in eight exhibition halls.
Algae Tech Conference

New Zealand Aquaculture Conference 2019

The 2019 New Zealand Aquaculture Conference will be held at the Marlborough Convention Centre in Blenheim.
It will be run over a two-day format with the official opening address and welcomes on the morning of day one.
The New Zealand aquaculture industry sustainably produces some of the world's best seafood - Greenshell mussels, King salmon and Pacific oysters. In 2017, the sector provided jobs for over 3,000 families and generated over NZ$500 million (S$ 321.45 million) in revenue with its premium seafood exported to over 80 countries.

Taiwan International Fisheries & Seafood Show 2019

The Taiwan International Fisheries & Seafood Show 2019 will take place in Kaohsiung Exhibition Centre and is co-organised by My Exhibition Co. Ltd. and Taiwan External Trade Development Council. TIFSS 2019 is supported and endorsed by the central and local government bodies in Taiwan, targetting 220 exhibitors with six international pavilions.

Aquaculture Europe 2019

Aquaculture Europe 2019 will be held at ESTREL Congress Centre in Berlin, Germany.
Recognising the importance of innovation, Aquaculture Europe will feature Innovation Forum, an effort to promote and support start-ups and emerging business models in the aquaculture sector. By matching ideas to potential investors and those that can push the development of these companies, the forum hopes to help facilitate growth in the sector with better technology and new products.
It will also have a Women in Aquaculture seminar, which looks at ways to ensure greater gender diversity at all levels of the aquaculture sector, on Wednesday, Oct. 9. The seminar will offer firsthand insights into how women can overcome perceived gender-related obstacles and build thriving careers right across the aquaculture sector.
The one-hour event will include a panel discussion featuring prominent figures from academia and the aquaculture industry, who will discuss key issues related to the benefits of diversity in the workforce and ways to ensure that aquaculture organisations pursue recruitment policies that allow talented people, regardless of gender, to succeed.
GOAL 2019 Conference

This year's 20th edition of GOAL (Global Outlook for Aquaculture Leadership) Conference will be held at the Leela Palace in Chennai, India. This is the first time that GOAL is being held in India in its 19-year history.

47th US-Japan Natural Resources Panel on Aquaculture

The 47th US-Japan Natural Resources Scientific Symposium on "Marine Aquaculture in a Changing Environment" will be held Nov. 12-15 in Okinawa.
The 47th UJNR Aquaculture Symposium is the last year of the current three-year theme of "Marine Aquaculture in a Changing Environment."
The UJNR Aquaculture Panel is a cooperative research exchange between the US and Japan, jointly addressing environmental and technical issues that affect the aquaculture industries of both nations.
This year's presentations will focus on the use of science and aquaculture technologies to increase food production to offset deficits from losses of wild fisheries and terrestrial agriculture due to environmental change or to aid in the recovery or enhance wild and farmed seafood impacted by environmental change and perturbation.
