CEVA: Combining profitability and long-term growth
CEVA Santé Animale, formerly known as Sanofi Santé Nutrition Animale (part of Sanofi Synthelabo then), was created in 1999 as an independent animal health company. Based in Libourne, in the south-west of France, CEVA is currently present in 45 other countries, making it a truly global partner for the animal health sector.
To further facilitate its global reach, it is divided into three major geographical zones which correspond to major regulatory and market-based blocks: Europe, North America and the International Zone which includes Asia/Pacific, Latin America and Africa/Middle East.
From these major zones, CEVA has two subsidiaries, two R&D centres and two production sites in North America; 19 subsidiaries, three R&D centres and five production sites in Europe; and 18 subsidiaries, four R&D and eight production sites in its International Zone.
Being considered as the ninth largest animal health group and the fastest growing top 10 veterinary pharmaceutical companies in the world, the company has indeed come a long way since its launch 11 years ago.
