Market analysis

Sluggish hog feed demand decimated production, hence curtailing the sales of lysine. Nonetheless, producers stood firm while supplies diminished due to production cuts and routine plant maintenance during summer.

In Europe, price quotes stayed unchanged the range of EUR1.23-1.30/kg.

Market forecast

With export demand stable and output limited, prices of lysine are expected to stay firm. However, slack domestic hog feed consumption will put a lid on the prices of lysine.
