Market analysis

Demand for lysine showed little improvement as hog feed production remained low. Nonetheless, traders in some regions lifted price quotes substantially in anticipation of tight availability. Generally, lysine prices were unchanged compared with the previous week.

In Europe, price quotes were unchanged at EUR1.20/kg.

Market forecast

With hog feed producers limiting output, usages of lysine are unlikely to expand in the near term. Lysine market is projected to remain soft even as some traders attempt to lift prices.
