The US Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY) has developed a National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) Biosecurity Principles template to support producers who are in the process of implementing the NPIP Principles.
As part of a technical reference guide series, the template, along with NPIP audit documents, serves as a tool to start or modify any existing biosecurity programme.
The template can be used to track progress during implementation and any continuous improvement activity. Additionally, it facilitates the programme's maintenance.
USPOULTRY said the template is an addition to the association's selection of biosecurity resources. It can be downloaded by filling out an application at http://www.uspoultry.org/animal_husbandry/biosecurity.cfm.
