Malaysia calls for Pakistani investment in halal meat sector
Malaysian Consul General Abu Bakar Mamat invites Pakistani investors to invest in Malaysia’s halal meat sector as one of their business activities in Malaysia.
He said that halal meat from Pakistan can be imported, provided it meets requirements of halal slaughtering, hygiene and animal health standards.
According to him, about one million chickens are consumed daily in Malaysia; therefore, poultry feed could be a lucrative export good.
He also added that Pakistani people can take advantage of Malaysia’s expertise in producing Halal meat, and ensuring animal hygiene and health.
