Global markets
 
On May 30, Peru announced the 6th mini ban on fishing, pushing up prices slightly by US$10/tonne to US$20/tonne. FOB prices of Peruvian CNF fishmeal were at US$1,790/tonne to US$1,800/tonne.
 
 
Market analysis
 
Increased aquaculture production drove up sales of fishmeal, leading to gains of RMB300/tonne in all regions. With increased sales, China's fishmeal stocks diminished to 223,000 tonnes.
 
Prices of prime-grade products were at RMB11,800/tonne.
 
 
Market forecast
                                                             
As aquaculture production ramps up, demand for fishmeal is expected to grow stronger and prices will rise further in the coming month.
