Zinpro introduces new online technical resource for aquaculture
As the world's appetite for farm-raised fish, shrimp and other aquatic species continues to grow, Zinpro Corporation has announced a new landing page on its corporate website (www.zinpro.com/aquaculture) specific to the role Zinpro Performance Minerals® play in optimising aquaculture nutrition for cold water fish, warm water fish and shrimp.
The new resource will share the most up-to-date trace minerals research results and provide the aquaculture industry a reliable guideline for performance trace mineral supplementation.
"As the leader in performance trace mineral nutrition, Zinpro understands the unique needs of this specialised industry," says Cinzia Boggino Scavone, business development manager, aqua and pet, international, Zinpro Corporation. "We are excited to introduce this new resource to the aquaculture industry. Supplementing fish and shrimp diets with adequate levels of zinc, iron, manganese, copper and selenium will be critical to provide more precise dietary formulations based on nutrients, rather than ingredients."
A new website feature also allows customers to search for the company's industry-leading aquaculture nutrition products by market region through its products section. The product lineup includes: Availa®Zn, Availa®Mn, Availa®Cu, Availa®Fe, Availa®Se and Availa®Cr.
"It is important to understand the unique needs of aquatic species," says Mihai Sun, Ph.D., aquaculture nutritionist for Zinpro Corporation. "Research shows that optimal trace mineral nutrition is one path to improve production. Even slight deficiencies in these key nutrients can decrease performance, efficiency and profitability."
