Danisco appoints a new business manager
 

Danisco Animal Nutrition has appointed Dr. Armin Vikari, a former regional technical manager in the company as business manager covering Germany, Serbia and Ukraine.
 
In his new role, Dr. Vikari, with his knowledge and industry experiences in natural growth promoters, is assigned to oversee the technical and commercial aspects in supporting Danisco's distributor, Biochem. His position involves coordinating development of direct sales of Axtra® enzymes, the Enviva EO and probiotics range and Betafin in Germany, Serbia and Ukraine.
 
Prior to joining Danisco, Dr. Vikari was previously a  bioactive product manager for Pancosma and an area sales manager for J. Rettenmair & Sons GmbH & Co. KG, focusing on raw fibre concentrates in feed. He holds a PhD in Nutrition Sciences from Technical University Munich.
 
Danisco Animal Nutrition pioneered the development and use of enzymes and betaine in animal nutrition. Its products are now widely used by poultry and pig producers throughout the world. In May 2011, DuPont acquired Danisco, forming a global leader in Nutrition & Health and Industrial Biosciences. 
 
 
ISA nominates a country manager for Japan
 
 
Institut de Sélection Animale (ISA) has appointed Dr. Naoki Goto as ISA's Japan-based area manager. In this representative role, Dr. Goto oversees all ISA customer service activities in Japan.
 
An expert in layer business, Dr. Goto brings his vast global expertise in layer genetics to ISA. He is closely connected to the Japanese layer hatcheries and egg producers.
 
"We are excited with the addition of Dr. Naoki Goto to our team, and strongly believe that his knowledge and experience will bring additional value to our customers in Japan," ISA commercial director, Arian Groot.
 
Dr. Goto has previously resided in the US and worked for Dekalb Poultry Research Inc.

AVEVE Biochem's new business development manager
 
 
AVEVE Biochem strengthens its international sales team with the appointment of Dr Hans Christoph Wagner as the company's business development manager.
Dr Wagner brings with him years of experience from the international feed additive and compound feed industry, having spent several years in various executive functions after obtaining a doctorate degree in animal husbandry at the University of Stuttgart-Hohenheim, Germany.
 
In 1999, Dr Wagner was with Bayer, in charge of the animal nutrition business. He subsequently joined Altenburger Kraftfutterwerk GmbH as managing director in 2004 and during 2007 – 2010, he developed the international business for Dr. Eckel GmbH.
AVEVE Biochem is a global provider of additives for the animal nutrition business, which provides enzymes, MCTs (medium chain triglycerides) and feed formulation advice. The company is part of the AVEVE group, a feed and agricultural business in Belgium.
 
 
 
Nuscience group appoints a swine product manager
 

On March 1st, Marrit van Engen has been appointed as product manager for the Netherland's-based Nuscience Group's swine division of the Nuscience Group.
 
As product manager, Van Engen will manage the swine product range, give technical support and advise clients in order to support their goals.
 
Van Engen brings years of experience in pig health, welfare and farm management. After her studies in animal husbandry at Wageningen University and veterinary science at Utrecht University, she worked for almost seven years in an independent pig farming consultancy practice.
 
A strong promoter of focus on the pig and behaviour in farm management, Van Engen wrote two practical books in the series "Pig Signals", one on sows and another on piglets.
 
Nuscience Group is global player in premixes, concentrates, nutritional concepts and feed additives in the animal nutrition industry. It was previously known as the Vitamex group, until it was recently rebranded to Nuscience in January 2012.
