2nd Aquatech Aquaculture Expo and Convention
Following the success of its initial staging last year, the 2nd Aquatech Aquaculture Expo and Convention Philippines will again take place on March 23-25 at Fontana Leisure Parks, Clarkfield, Pampanga.
Aquatech Aquaculture Convention--previously held in the aquaculture province in Bohol--is an annual event in an effort to continuously update the industry on new trends and technology in further improving aquaculture in the country. Dubbed as the only technical event in the Philippines focusing on aquaculture, the event also aims to update the aquaculture community with the latest global technologies through the products and services which will be showcased during the show.
Aside from the latest innovations, the convention also targets the aquaculture market in northern Philippines as well as suppliers in the National Capital Region who crave for new knowledge to effectively service their clients through quality product and services which result to more opportunities in the import-export industry. According to Jesse Magsino, project director of Events Quality and Interactive Promotions (EQUIP)--the show's organizers--the convention has occupied 700 square meters of the exhibit area to fill in 31 booths as well as hold seminars and other round table discussions to be conducted by the experts in the aquaculture sector.
With the theme Production Efficiency towards Sustainability, Food Security and Global Competitiveness, the highlights of the show will be the Technical Conference Program, Technology Exposition B2B (Business to Business) Networking Night where visitors and exhibitors alike may directly interact; and the Technical and Countryside Tour where participants will be treated to a visit to the National Integrated Fisheries Technology Development Centre in Bonuan Binloc in Dagupan City as well as some delightful stopovers to some scenic spots in Pangasinan and Pampanga.
Most importantly, Magsino says this year's convention aims to strengthen market competitiveness, create efficiency in developing aquaculture products in its best quality and create sustainable development and management plan with a global perspective. "This is to reinforce the growing aquaculture business by strengthening the entrepreneurial and marketing practices in the industry as a major fragment of the agri-industry in the country today," tells Magsino.
The event is also in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Centre and World Fish Centre with the help of Asian Fisheries Society. For more information, email at email@example.com
