CBH grain receivals just over 11 million tonnes
CBH Group Ltd., Western Australia's largest grain handler, said its receivals from the recently completed harvest were just over 11 million tonnes.
The company would market around 50% of the Western Australian crop, CEO Andrew Crane said in speech notes for the annual general meeting in Perth.
The group would also market a significantly increased share of the crop in eastern Australia following expansion in that region, Crane said.
CBH operates 200 upcountry grain storage sites and four coastal export terminals in Western Australia. In its annual report, for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2008, the cooperative declared total assets of AU$1.70 billion (US$1.50 billion), net assets of AU$976.6 million (US$866.6 million), revenue of AU$1.10 billion (US$976,315) and a net profit of AU$40.1 million (US$35.5 million).
