Market analysis

Local lysine producers were eager to negotiate prices to move sales amid tight competition.

The low swine quantity in China limited lysine usage, bloating producers' inventories as a result. Meanwhile, buyers were unenthusiastic to stockpile lysine as prices remained high while supplies are poised to stay abundant with two producers expanding output this year.

In Europe, prices of Q2 deliveries were at EUR1.97-2.05/kg.

Market forecast

Prices of locally-produced lysine are expected to stay weak.
