Market analysis

Prices of lysine remained firm in China, as producers limited production while the sales of animal feed were slow. Meanwhile, producers cut export price in a bid to stimulate demand while the global spreading of the Wuhan virus curtailed sales.

Market forecast

Excess capacity of lysine industry will put a lid on lysine prices as more producers step up production gradually. Sales will be slow as local and overseas buyers are reluctant to stock high lysine inventories with the global economic outlook grim.
