Market analysis

As the availability of lysine were ample with deliveries returning to normal levels, prices remained unchanged. Feed producers held back purchases in view of weak hog feed demand due to low animal population. Meanwhile, Shandong CJ has halted the production of lysine and nucleotide, and withheld price releases.

In Europe, price quotes remained at EUR1.15/kg.

Market forecast

Supplies of lysine are seen abundant so long as deliveries remain stable. With buyers treading prudently amid concerns of economic slowdown in China, the upward scope of lysine market will be limited.
