An eFeedLink Exclusive
Price summary
Prices rise prominently.
Market analysis
AA broiler
AA broiler prices rebounded strongly by 11% as demand increased while supplies of finishing broilers from large-scale farms dwindled.
Day-old chick rallied to the range of RMB8.90-9.20/bird amid supply scarcity.
China breed broiler
The quantity of fast-growth native broiler was tight, pushing price to surge 10% over the week in review. However, farmers were not keen to expand flock, hence softening chick prices to RMB1-2/bird.
Hybrid broiler prices weakened 1.3% on soft demand. On the contrary, chick prices strengthened RMB0.20-0.25 to RMB1.10-1.15/bird.
Market forecast
AA broiler market is poised to strengthen as the prices of AA chicks are as high as broiler prices. Moreover, with the hog disease rampant, wary consumers will increase the intake of chicken, hence helping to boost the demand for AA broiler.
AA chick prices are seen firm unless hatcheries increase production significantly.
Native broiler markets are seen firm, helping to underpin chick prices.
