Yurun builds RMB2.7-million commercial hog farm in Xinjiang
A RMB2.7-million commercial hog rearing farm jointly invested by Yurun Group and Tecon Group started construction in Shihezi, Xinjiang. The farm, which will support Yurun's slaughtering function, is set to produce 12,000 commercial hogs a year, generating an estimated RMB12.5 million in annual output values and RMB4.6 million in profits when production is in full swing.
Shaanxi's million-head PIC hog base starts work
A PIC commercial hog production base recently broke ground in Liquan county, Xianyang, Shaanxi province. Upon completion, the integrated hog base is set to produce over one million hogs yearly, raking in RMB2 billion in annual output values and RMB400 million in net profits.
Jiangsu's Lianyungang receives 3,844 Australian dairy cattle
Dasan Animal Husbandry Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Huishan Holding Group, recently shipped in 3,844 Australian dairy cattle into Lianyungang, Jiangsu province. The imported cattle are of Jersey and Holstein breeds.
Wens Group to establish 600,000-head hog base in Jiangsu
Wens Group recently signed an agreement to set up a 600,000-head commercial hog base in Dafeng city, Yancheng, Jiangsu. The annual turnover from the project is estimated at RMB900 million.
Zhejiang imports 150 US breeder hogs
Ningbo city, Zhejiang imported 150 breeder hogs from the US for the first time, following two years of preparatory work including negotiation and breed selection. Shipped in by Ningbo Funing Breeder Hog Co Ltd, each breeder hog costs over RMB20,000.
Mengniu sets up Asia's largest dairy plant in Zhejiang
Mengniu Dairy Co Ltd started building a RMB900-million dairy processing plant in Jinhua city, Zhejiang. The first phase, which costs RMB530 million to build, will have a capacity of 168,000 tonnes of room-temperature milk drinks yearly, fetching RMB100 million in estimated annual profits.
The dairy plant is set to become Asia's largest upon full completion, specialising in milk beverages, yogurt and ice cream.
