Romer Labs' analytical services laboratory in Singapore has received GMP+ B11 certification for feed safety assurance, according to independent inspection and certifying company SGS.
As a GMP+ registered Laboratory, the ISO 17025-accredited and ISO 9001-certified service facility joins Romer Lab's laboratory in Tulln, Austria, which, in September, became the worldwide first laboratory to earn GMP+ B11 certification. This additional recognition from GMP+ is a further confirmation that Romer Labs adheres to international standards and requirements for safe feed and food throughout the production and supply chain, the company said.
The Singapore lab's certification, which was obtained for the analysis of Aflatoxin B1 as part of a multi-mycotoxin LC-MS/MS method, specifically guarantees that the analysis of feed materials, premixes and feed samples is performed in a manner that assures the reliability of its results.
"The GMP+ B11 certification further confirms the excellence of our analytical services in mycotoxin detection and is a fine complement to the ISO certifications we already have," said Yong Wee Liau, managing director of Romer Labs® Singapore.
"An important component of the GMP+ scheme is the explicit commitment to continuous improvement. This is one way we fulfill our pledge to reliability, transparency and traceability in the feed production and supply chain," Yong added.
Romer Labs currently operates four fully accredited service laboratories that are based in Austria, the UK, Singapore and the US. Beyond mycotoxins, Romer Labs offers analytical services for a broad range of analytes, including GMOs and food allergens.
