US Poultry & Egg Association's new Chairman
At their annual meeting during the 2010 International Poultry Expo, Steve Willardsen was elected chairman of the board of directors of US Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY).
He had previously served as the organisation's vice chairman. Willardsen was presented the traditional "working man's gavel" by 2009 chairman Monty Henderson.
A graduate of Utah State University with a degree in agribusiness, he has been in the poultry industry for more than 26 years. He started with Norbest, spent several years at Land O'Lakes as complex manager, and at Cargill as complex general manager. Also, he was chief operating officer for Rocco in Virginia. In his current capacity, Willardsen is president of Cargill Value Added Meats, which is based in Wichita, Kansas. He has served on the USPOULTRY board of directors since 2001.

Kemin announces new appointments for Agrifoods North America
Doug Macklin and Haley Stomp have been promoted to sales director and senior marketing manager, respectively, for Kemin Agrifoods North America.
Macklin and Stomp bring years of experiences and leadership to these roles, which will help guide the growth and development of their teams, said Jeff Murphy, president of Kemin Agrifoods North America.
As sales director, Doug Macklin is responsible for managing the sales and customer service teams. He began his career at Kemin in 2000 as a key account manager. Macklin most recently served as the East region sales manager where he was responsible for seven key account managers in the Eastern and Midwestern US. Macklin holds a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from North Carolina Wesleyan College and an Associate of Arts in agriculture from The Ohio State University.
In her capacity as marketing manager, Haley Stomp is responsible for driving product strategies for Kemin's continued growth and development. She began her career at Kemin in 2003 as a chemical engineer for Kemin Health.
Stomp also served as Agrifoods global enzyme product manager and North American Agrifoods product manager. Stomp holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Iowa State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa.
Bunge appoints new president and CEO for Brazil
Pedro Parente has been appointed to the newly created position of president and CEO, Bunge Brazil. In his new role, Parente will lead all of Bunge's businesses in Brazil and reports to Alberto Weisser, chairman and CEO of Bunge Limited.
Until December 2009, Parente served as Chief Operating Officer in Grupo RBS (RBS), a leading Brazilian multimedia company. Prior to joining RBS, Parente held a variety of high level public sector roles, including chief of staff, minister of planning and deputy minister of finance during the administration of Brazilian president Fernando Henrique Cardoso.
Parente also served as a consultant to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and has worked at the Brazilian Central Bank and Banco do Brasil. He is a former chairman of the board of Petrobras and Banco do Brasil. He holds a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Brasília and is a fellow at the George Washington University Centre of Latin American Studies.
