Ukraine aims to boost cattle number by year-end

Ukraine will continue to implement programmes to support livestock production as it plans to increase the number of cattle by 4.6 million head or 2% by the end of this year.

The press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported that Ukraine plans to increase the number of cattle in farms by 2.4%.

Last year, Ukraine managed to increase cattle numbers by up to 4.5 million head or 1.8%, stabilising the number of cattle in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Agricultural Policy will continue to focus on encouraging farmers to engage in dairy and beef cattle production.
