Harsh weather affecting milk supplies, prices


Philadelphia, PA– Beginning over the weekend, high snowfalls and strong winds wreaked havoc on dairy farms in Eastern Washington. Local news reported around 1,600 cows died because of the storms which matches anecdotal reports that we heard from farmers in the region. With roads closed, the weather also caused on-farm dumping of milk.
